Consult

So much more than, "Where does it hurt?"

When is the last time your doctor asked you more questions about you, your condition...your life, than the receptionist did about your insurance? At Georgia Pain Physicians, we feel that your explanation of your history, what you feel, and what you think, is just as important to a proper diagnosis as x-rays or ultrasounds. By asking all the right questions, we involve you in your treatment, and this "team" approach invariably delivers the best results.

The consultive process does not end with a diagnosis either. Once the cause of a patient's pain is isolated, the patient is briefed, and decisions about what interventions are to be used get made together - with doctor and patient, taking everything into consideration.

We believe that our expertise is best applied when we work closely with our patients in a partnership to treat the entire spectrum of impact that pain has had on their lives. We are also mindful that by the time most patients reach our practice, their pain has impacted many other aspects of their life. Physiological changes such as interruption of sleep, decreased physical inactivity, and emotional stress can even result in increased pain sensitivity.

So, we continually strive to stay abreast of the latest diagnostic tools and technologies, while remaining committed to keeping each patient involved as an active participant in their own treatment programs. This balance of human interaction and cutting edge science delivers the best results, returning patients to the lifestyle and activity levels that were present prior to the onset of chronic pain, in the shortest period of time.
