Manipulation Under Anesthesia

MUA - Manipulation Under Anesthesia is an exciting treatment option for neck pain, back pain, frozen shoulder, fibromyalgia and other conditions. The concept has actually been in existence for 70 years, but is just now being employed on a broad scale for treatment of chronic pain. Years of good results with relatively low associated risk factors make MUA a good option for many patients.

The simple premise behind MUA is that manipulation of joints while the patient is sedated, is generally far more effective. The typical treatment regimen consists of one to three sequential days of treatment with most patients (80-90%) showing marked reduction in pain and increased range of motion.
