Robert E. Windsor, M.D.

Dr. Windsor is the founder of Georgia Pain Physicians, P.C. He is also focus and determination personified, having entered Texas A & M on a track scholarship at the age of 17, finished his undergraduate program by age 19, and completed medical school by the age of 23.

However, his academic achievements were almost overshadowed by his accomplishments as an athlete. Dr. Windsor the shot putter, was consistently ranked in the NCAA Division I top ten nationally, and also set a North American record for powerlifting, all while still in medical school. He later set an unofficial world record in the bench press (576#'s), and achieved a black belt in karate. His experience in athletics, and rehabilitating his own athletic injuries, gives him unique perspective in his chosen specialty.

He has written extensively on the subject of Pain Management for medical publications (over 50 published articles and chapters), is a sought after national speaker, and has over 70 applicants for the Pain Management Fellowship that the practice conducts annually.

Dr. Windsor is certified by several specialty boards, including the American Boards of Pain Management, American Board of Pain Medicine, American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, and the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine. The American Board of Pain Management and the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation are both recognized by the ACGME and ABMS. Dr. Windsor is also engaged in research focusing on improving currently accepted pain management techniques.
